Seattle Naturalists’ Event Roundup: July 27th to August 2, 2026

Hey Naturalists, it looks like events are starting to slow down a little but that’s just anecdotal from piecing these together for half a year. But we are heading into August, towards the end of summer, so make the most of the sunshine before the rain. Some other nature highlights I’m looking forward to is the full moon on Tuesday, heading over to the Ballard Locks to see the salmon migration, foraging for berries (berry season is the best!), bioluminescence, and also the Delta Aquariids and Alpha Capricornids meteor showers that are peaking.

As always, check event pages for updates, registration requirements, and weather-related changes before heading out. Be mindful stewards of the places we visit. Leave no trace, respect wildlife, and help care for the lands and waters that make our region so special.
